Selectively bred from the common Silver Arowana, this morph combines two distinct traits — a compressed, truncated body shape and full albinism — that together produce a fish unlike anything else in the hobby. The result is an animal with brilliant white-gold scales, vivid red eyes, and a stocky, almost discus-like profile that moves through the water with a distinctive undulating gait.

Unlike the standard Silver Arowana, which can reach three feet and requires a correspondingly massive enclosure, the short-body variant typically tops out at around twenty-four inches. That said, this is still a large, powerful fish that demands a minimum 200-gallon aquarium with a secure, weighted lid. Arowanas are legendary jumpers, and the short-body morph retains every ounce of that explosive surface-strike instinct. Filtration should be robust — we recommend a sump or canister system rated for at least twice the tank volume, with weekly water changes of 25 to 30 percent.

Water parameters should be kept within a temperature range of 75 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit and a pH between 6.0 and 7.0.
